LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington Sporting Club announced the next six members of its inaugural United Soccer League (USL) W League squad Tuesday, with each addition pending league and federation approval.
The six players named continued off the Club’s “USL W League Week” in which it will release the entire roster over the span of five days.
Gianna Camuso, Malene Duus, Lesley Kiesling, Carsyn Prigge, Shaye Seyffart and Anna Young make up Tuesday’s roster announcements. Click this link for Monday’s release.
The USL W League is the nation’s premier pre-professional women’s platform, and Lexington SC’s roster will feature top collegiate and prep players from across the country. Alan Kirkup serves as Lexington’s USL W League head coach.
The inaugural match is May 10 from Toyota Stadium in Georgetown, Ky. Fans can purchase tickets to support the USL W League here.

Gianna Camuso – Forward

Hometown: Seattle, Wash.
Previous Team: ISC Gunners (WPSL)
Camuso previously played for the ISC Gunners of the Women’s Premier Soccer League in Washington, recording three goals in the league. Camuso said she is ecstatic to play with a new group of girls and to be able to play under a coach that embraces the true meaning of soccer, saying she looks forward to the inaugural season.
“It’s an honor to have the opportunity to play with Lexington SC. I want to be able to help this team grow and succeed. I am excited for this journey!”

Malene Gaasvig Duus – Midfielder

Hometown: Augustenborg, Denmark
Previous Team: South Georgia Tormenta FC
Duus plays collegiate soccer at Tennessee Wesleyan University, where she has started in 29 games and amassed 10 assists. She also formerly played for South Georgia Tormenta FC’s USL W team. Duus is most excited to play at a competitive level, having experience within the league. She said she is excited for the memories she’ll make at Lexington both on and off the field and the relationships that will form from it.
“It means a lot to me to be able to promote women’s soccer in Kentucky. This new team is not only a big opportunity for me as a player, but for all the young girls in Lexington and around that want to play at a very competitive level when they get older. Making history means a lot to me and I hope I will inspire as many people as possible.”

Lesley Kiesling – Forward

Previous Team: University of Kentucky
Kiesling currently plays for the Kentucky Wildcats at the NCAA Division-I level after three years at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she scored 10 goals in the 2021-22 season. Kiesling said she is most excited for training at a high level while also having fun and playing a lot of games. She added that the summer offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the game and play with different people you don’t normally play with, saying she is excited to learn and grow with new people.
“I’m super excited to be a part of the first year here in Lexington. I think it is going to be a fun and competitive summer and I am looking forward to cementing a program here in Lexington for years to come.”

Carsyn Prigge – Midfielder

Previous Team: Ohio University
Prigge plays NCAA women’s soccer at Ohio University, starting in all 19 games in the 2021 season where she scored one goal and recorded six shots on goal. She played for Lexington FC growing up before attending Tates Creek High School in Lexington, Ky., where she ran track and played soccer. Prigge is most excited about competing with new teammates and representing a city that has given her so much.
“It means a lot to me, especially since I am from Lexington. This program is something that I had wanted for the city for so long, and I am so excited to see it flourishing and now becoming a part of it.”

Shaye Seyffart – Midfielder

Previous Team: University of Washington
Seyffart competed at the NCAA Division-I level at three different universities, beginning her journey with Villanova University before transferring to the University of Florida and finally the University of Washington. She also joined the Player’s Development Academy (PDA). Seyffart said she looks forward to playing for Coach Alan Kirkup again after the two’s time at Florida. She said Kirkup’s level of training is demanding, yet rewarding and his playing style aligns with what she is most familiar and comfortable with.

Anna Young – Defender

Previous Team: Maryland United (ECNL)
Young plays NCAA women’s soccer at the University of Kentucky, appearing in all 18 matches with 16 starts for the Wildcats. She previously played for Maryland United of the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) in her youth career. Young is most excited about meeting her new team and trying to learn as much as she can during her time with technical director Alan Kirkup and the rest of the coaching staff.
“It means a lot. Lexington is a great place and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue to represent the city this summer.”
